Promogran Prisma Collagen Silver Dressing (28cm2 / 123cm2)

Promogran Prisma Wound Balancing Matrix is comprised of a sterile, freeze dried composite of 44% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), 55% collagen and 1% silver-ORC. Silver-ORC contains 25% w/w ionically bound silver, a well-known antimicrobial agent.

 

 

How Does it work?

Promogran Prisma provides Optimal wound healing Optimum wound environment In the presence of exudate, Promogran Prisma transforms into a soft, conformable, biodegradable gel, and thus allows contact with all areas of the wound. Promogran Prisma maintains a physiologically moist micro environment at the wound surface. This environment is conducive to granulation tissue formation, epithelisation and optimal wound healing.

 

 

What is the role of silver in Promogran Prisma?

The dressing contains ionically bound silver, a well-known antimicrobial agent.   Indications Promogran Prisma Matrix is indicated for the management of all wounds healing by secondary intent which are clear of necrotic tissue including: Diabetic ulcers Venous ulcers Pressure ulcers Ulcers caused by mixed vascular aetologies Traumatic wounds and surgical wounds.
